I made these chocolate crinkle cookies for our latest open house and they were a hit. Our team at Hyland Premier Properties sold this particular home within only one week of listing it and well over the asking price! When showing a property, I’ve found it’s important to make potential buyers feel at home, comfortable, and also that they don’t leave without a little snack.

STIR
These cookies are chewy, chocolatey, and really not that bad for you…no butter!

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
2 1/2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup vegetable oil
4 eggs
2 teaspoons vanilla extract
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup confectioners' sugar

Mix together cocoa, white sugar, and vegetable oil. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla. Add the flour, baking powder, and salt into the cocoa mixture. Cover dough, and chill for at least 4 hours or overnight.

Heat oven to 350 degrees. Line cookie sheets with foil and spray with nonstick spray. Roll dough into one inch balls using two spoons (or your hands) and drop into a bowl of confectioners' sugar to coat fully before placing onto cookie sheets.

Bake in preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes. Let stand on the cookie sheet for a minute before transferring. Enjoy and don't hesitate to let me know how you like them!

I made a little demo video introducing my blog using these cookies to showcase my food meets fashion concept. Check it out here!

STYLE
These cookies were inspired by this brown and white print top. It still makes me giggle when I see the photos side by side because the top really does look like the crinkles in the cookies. I love this top because it’s comfortable and light. It’s also able to be dressed up as a blouse or just a casual top with cuffed denim shorts like I have here.

To complete the outfit I have on my Sperry topsiders because you never know when you’re going to be on a boat. Although I didn’t hop on a boat that day, I was prepared and that’s what’s important ;). These topsiders are classic and never go out of style. They’re classy and can make an otherwise casual outfit look sophisticated.

Thank you for reading and feel free to share your favorite cookie recipes!
